About the role

Responsible for providing on site hazardous and non-hazardous services to meet client environmental needs in accordance with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully, and safely, complete scheduled projects for customers. Responsibilities may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste depending on contract type.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems
  • Manage on site customers hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contract
  • Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all DOT/RCRA/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste as required
  • Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to insure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete assigned projects in a timely manner
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through on assignments
  • May help develop and train OS I and II personnel in required task as needed
  • Other work related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • BS in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred
  • Prior work experience in the hazardous waste or related industry preferred
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
  • Successful completion of OS II OJT and competency assessment
