On-Site Field Support Technician

About the Role
The Field Tech will perform walk-throughs of facilities to repair or replace components on a suite of custom-configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs also perform installations at new sites, assembling a significant amount of network equipment for inmate phone systems and associated add-on components. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
- Develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
- Travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
- Perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
- Excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team-oriented business skills.
- Professional attitude in dealing with customers.
