This is an on-call position. Provides food service, custodial, grounds maintenance, general labor or other main support on an on-call basis.

Unit Position Summary

This position will work Monday through Friday, 5am - 9am. That's guaranteed 20 hours weekly at $15.00-$16.00 per hour. Join the dynamic IPF Custodial team to perform cleaning and maintenance activities that support MSU’s mission of advancing knowledge & transforming lives!

Job Duties

• Engages in high performing, leading edge practices, using superior cleaning methods, equipment, and standards.
• Part of a growth-oriented and diverse group of professionals that support one another in keeping MSU facilities clean, safe, and beautiful.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Understands and gives verbal or written instructions.
• Reads chemical, biological, or radioactive warning signs.
• Removes snow with shovel or snow blower.
• Retains training information required for custodial methods, equipment, and products.
• Works with student employees and communicates and interacts with the University community.
• Serves as a liaison with the Department of Public Safety.
• Maintains product inventory.
• Makes independent decisions to accomplish acceptable cleaning standards using appropriate methods, products, and equipment.
