On-Call Safety & Security Specialist

Patagonia is looking for an experienced, compassionate, highly motivated individual who is willing to work flexible shifts and assist in all areas of Safety & Security. This is a new role that must embody Patagonia’s unique culture and demonstrate an open and inclusive approach to making sure everyone who has contact with Patagonia feels safe and welcome. Responsibilities

• Monitors & patrols multiple sites on foot and/or bicycle, checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, etc.
• Responds to incidents of work-related injury, medical emergency, fire, threats, suspicious activity, etc.
• Observe and report activities and incidents.
• Controls & monitors access into all buildings.
• Prepare accurate logs and reports as needed.
• Works closely with other security personnel, management, employees & visitors.
• Learn and understand basic OSHA and Fire laws.

Qualifications

• 2+ years combined experience in physical security, law enforcement, military, community outreach, customer service, and/or emergency response coordination.
• Be at least 18 years of age with at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to obtain a State of Nevada PILB (Nevada Private Investigation Licensing Board) Guard Card.
• Ability to pass and maintain 1st Aid, CPR & AED certifications.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to learn, understand, and apply basic OSHA and Fire laws.
• Basic computer skills & knowledge (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
• Knowledge & understanding of CCTV systems.
• Knowledge & understanding of access control systems (Brivo).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and carry for up to 50 feet.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Bending, lifting, and chopping repetitively throughout the day.
• Ability to work in a small physical space that can be loud at times.

Pay

$26.00 hourly

Schedule

This position requires open availability to work 8 or 12-hour shifts, Day, Swing, and Graveyard, Monday-Friday and/or weekends.
