On-Call Room Attendant-1

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Boston is looking for an On-Call Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The position is based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within the Housekeeping Department in Boston, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guestrooms and hotel areas are cleaned and maintained according to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group standards and guidelines.
• Remove all soiled linens, towels, and trash from room and appropriately store or dispose of in the back of house.
• Thoroughly clean guest bathrooms using approved cleaning products.
• Organize and arrange guest amenities and personal items according to brand standards.
• Replenish amenities, towels, and linens, as needed.
• Efficiently make beds to meet appearance standards.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Vacuum carpet and dust furniture, surfaces, vents, and baseboards.
• Report any defects in guest rooms and public areas, including damaged fixtures or furniture, for correction by the appropriate department.
• Provide exceptional service to all guests; greet guests and offer assistance, answer questions, and respond to any and all requests.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year’s experience in luxury hospitality in a similar role.
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
• Able to regularly lift, push, or pull 30 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible on-call schedule to include weekends and holidays.
