About the Role

We are looking for an On Call Residential Care Associate II to join our team in the Lane County region. The On Call Residential Care Associate II will provide support to residents according to their individualized treatment plan, focusing on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities using an approved evidence-based group curriculum. This role includes providing limited treatment services and personal care supports to help clients develop skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering prescribed medications, following physician’s orders, documenting on medical charts and count sheets, and assisting clients with self-administration of medications within agency policies.
• Transporting clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services.
• Maintaining compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.

On Call staff must:

• Work a minimum of 32 shift hours per month.
• Attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month (and clinical supervision if a QMHA).
• Stay current on company training.
• Respond to facility requests for coverage within 2 hours of the initial call.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit, with wages, benefits, and working conditions set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Eligibility requires one of the following:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field); OR
  • Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR
  • An equivalent combination of behavioral science education and satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.
• Must register as a QMHA-R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.
• Driving is an essential function of this position. Applicants must:
  • Provide a valid driver’s license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire.
  • Maintain a safe driving record.
  • Pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135).

Skills & Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
• Occasional use of ladders, squatting/kneeling, and performing other physical tasks as applicable.
• Must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques, including lifting and transferring clients.

Training Program

With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision to gain on-the-job experience.

Pay

Starting at $22.50–$23.88 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Differentials (subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements):

• Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided at least 2.5 hours of the shift occur within this period.
• Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.
• Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

Schedule

Days and hours will vary and may include holidays, weekends, and night shifts.
