On-Call Registered Nurse (RN), Hospice

About the role

Provide hospice nursing care where patients want to be – in the comfort of their own home. We are recruiting for a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to reliably serve patients in Springfield, MO and surrounding counties. This is a full-time position with a rotating on-call schedule: 5pm to 8:30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday/Sunday until Monday at 8:30am. You will work one week on, one week off, but are paid for both weeks—26 weeks worked per year for 52 weeks of pay.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients in their homes to perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions and report changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call shifts after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• Active and current RN license.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Previous hospice experience welcomed but not required; training provided.
• Ability to travel locally to cases as assigned.
