Responsibilities

  • Run all packer machines and robots in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
  • Check machines and make necessary adjustments to keep them running efficiently, including labelers, coders, lid detector, box makers, glue pots, etc.
  • Change over all packers and robots to different sizes and labels in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner.
  • Clean and sanitize all packers and robots in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ensure correct codes, cups, and lids, and correct fill to orders.
  • Absorb and assist other operators during shift.
  • Correctly count all products packed.
  • Complete all paperwork to be turned in daily to supervision.
  • Work area and machines must be kept clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Report all lost or damaged product.
  • Communicate via radio with filler, warehouse, foreman, and supervision during shift to minimize down time.
  • Input information into ASC Trac.

Requirements

This is a support role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Shifts can either be days, swing, or night shift and may include working weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or quality related events such as audits. All CBA provisions apply.

Qualifications

  • Strong work character and ability to lead others in the organization to protect the quality of our products and to ensure food safety standards are met.
  • Passion for quality control process and procedures.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations.
  • Critical thinking and ability to analyze data and situations is a must.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment throughout the shift.
  • Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.
  • Physical lifting up to 40-lbs intermittently throughout shift without assistance, 50-lbs with assistance.
  • Shift flexibility.

Schedule
