On-Call Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and members in a professional, friendly manner.
• Select appropriate spa treatments based on the client’s needs after reviewing the client intake form.
• Perform spa treatments (including all facials and waxing services) within the scope of training and utilizing draping protocols.
• Complete accurate and legible client intake notes, including medical history, services performed, skin analysis, and product recommendations in the Spa Computer System.
• Create an excellent experience for guests and members through therapeutic touch and a friendly attitude.
• Promote the health and wellness benefits of spa treatments specific to each client and recommend frequency of services.
• Safeguard client information and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional boundaries and avoid dual relationships with clients.
• Maintain a professional clean appearance of self and clinic by wearing a clean and pressed uniform, following table dressing and draping protocols, and keeping the therapy room clean.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current state cosmetology or Esthetician’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in esthetics.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest esthetic industry techniques, equipment, services, and products.
• Customer service oriented with effective communication skills for clients, management, therapists, and sales staff.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, and push carts up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the spa and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences.
