On Call Massage Therapist

About the Role

As a Massage Therapist at Suncadia's Glade Spring Spa, you'll focus on providing an exceptional spa experience that exceeds the expectations of our guests. You'll perform massage and body treatments and provide personal attention to each guest.

Suncadia is a premier all-season resort tucked away on the sunny slopes of the Cascade mountains, offering over 6,000 acres of forested mountain landscape, 40+ miles of hiking and biking trails, thirty-six holes of golf, a luxury spa, and access to the 2.2 million-acre Wenatchee National Forest. Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests.
• Provide professional massage and body treatments to every guest.
• Educate guests about treatments and services, including demonstrations when necessary.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines for skincare, hair removal, and massage services, including:
  • Proper sterilization of equipment.
  • Adherence to draping policies.
  • Referral of guests with medical concerns to physicians or dermatologists.
  • Pre-screening clients for contraindications.
  • Adherence to time length and treatment protocols.
• Promote at-home skincare regimens to maximize guest benefits.
• Champion resort culture and spa guiding principles.
• Handle internal and external guest interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and address concerns.
• Pursue continued self-development opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spa and individual workstations.
• Assist at the Spa concierge desk as needed.
• Attend department and property meetings.
• Proactively identify and address potential guest issues.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to concerns or inquiries.
• Stay updated on new techniques and products through ongoing training.
• Promote and sell massage and body products.
• Organize all products and equipment in your workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a high-quality spa.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Washington state massage therapy license.
• Industry certifications are a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification highly desirable.
• Proficiency in all facets of massage therapy, including anatomy, physiology, guest privacy, and wellness.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Annual salary range: $17.13 per hour plus commissions.
