On-Call Group Fitness Instructor

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach multiple formats (HIIT, Strength, Cycle, Zumba, etc.) at a high-profile company's fitness center in Burbank, CA. You will develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists. The role includes a passion for client results by building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all levels of fitness. There is also an opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple group fitness formats (HIIT, Strength, Cycle, Zumba, etc.)
• Develop engaging and motivating class formats with appropriate playlists
• Build class attendance and offer alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels
• Provide class coverage at multiple locations
• Network, engage, and interact professionally with clients, guests, and participants
• Communicate effectively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar
• Engage participants as a public speaker

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba® license)
• Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted)
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields
• Knowledgeable about the fitness industry with strong customer service skills
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $65, based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and geographic differentials.
