Support Participant Goals: Assist in implementing both formal and informal goals to help participants build skills and increase independence across a range of daily activities.
Transportation: Transport participants to/from Achieve and/or to/from community job sites in a safe manner.
Engage in Meaningful Activities: Facilitate engaging tasks and activities, ensuring participants are actively involved in functional and rewarding experiences throughout the day.
Promote Independence: Help participants complete tasks in a way that encourages growth and greater self-sufficiency.
Accurate Data Collection: Record essential program data on a daily basis to track progress and outcomes.
Foster Positive Relationships: Communicate effectively with staff, participants, families, and case managers to ensure that everyone is informed and involved in the program’s success.
Provide Assistance with Personal Care: Offer support to participants as needed with eating, mobility, and personal care tasks.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with staff, other agencies, and family members to provide seamless services and support.
Safety First: Supervise participants throughout the day, ensuring their well-being and safety in all activities.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Preferred—six months to one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Skills: A willingness to learn and engage in ongoing training to continuously improve your knowledge and abilities.
