On-Call Coordinator (Part Time)

About the role

CareGivers is a licensed home health agency with 12 branches in Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania. The On‑Call Coordinator maintains continuity of services during non‑business hours, handling client inquiries, scheduling and rescheduling cases, and expediting issues for employees and clients. This part‑time position is based in the Utica, NY branch and operates on a rotating on‑call schedule.

Schedule

• Every third week: on call all day Saturday and Sunday
• Weekdays: 4:30 pm to 8:00 am (rotating with other on‑call coordinators)

Compensation

$200.00 per week.

Work location

Primarily work from home; must report to the Utica, NY office approximately once per week. Candidate must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Utica office. This is not a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities

• Receive inquiry telephone calls from clients; explain CareGivers features, benefits, service delivery, cost, and payment arrangements
• Schedule and/or reschedule cases; expedite problems incurred by employees and clients, notifying the designated supervisor as necessary
• Maintain a daily Telephone Log of all coordinating activities and time worked
• “Take report” twice daily by telephone with a Service Coordinator in the office to stay current on daily changes
• Bring on‑call logs to the office once a week
• Attend service office staff meetings on occasion to stay abreast of operating practices and procedures
• Use a phone app installed on personal phone for calls/texts (company cell phone available if preferred)
