On Call Caregiver

Visiting Angels of El Paso is hiring On‑Call Caregivers to serve senior adults throughout the West Texas area, including El Paso, Horizon City, Socorro, Sunland Park, Santa Teresa, and surrounding communities. The position offers flexible, open availability to cover short (as little as 1 hour) and long (up to 12 hours) shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
• Give medication reminders (not administering medication unless licensed).
• Transport clients to doctor appointments, errands, or grocery shopping.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition to the office or family.
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies and accurately report health changes or unusual circumstances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
