About the Role
A Banquet Bartender is responsible for making and serving beverages to guests at venues or catering events. Duties include greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks according to recipes, and refilling beverages as needed. The Bartender must maintain supplies and follow established cleanliness and sanitation guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Take orders, prepare drinks according to recipes, and serve all beverage requests.
- Prepare the bar for service by ensuring bar supplies, garnishes, and utensils are properly set up in accordance with quality standards.
- Inventory unused liquor and beverages; ensure all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at the close of shift.
- Complete all closing duties and reports as assigned.
- Secure all liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
- Perform other duties or projects as requested by management.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Majority of work takes place indoors.
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures (e.g., kitchens, freezers).
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
Schedule
- Must be flexible to work variable days of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days, nights, overnights).
Requirements
- Experience as a Bartender required.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Food handlers and TIPS certificates required.
- Previous front-facing guest service experience required.
- Must read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
