About the role
This role is a contract position based in San Ramon, CA.
Responsibilities
- Minimum 8+ years of eCommerce/OMS experience.
- Blue Yonder/ IBM Sterling/ Manhattan/ Fluent Ecommerce OMS experience is mandatory.
- Should have designed an overall OMS architecture from scratch or for an enhancement.
- Good knowledge on all key OMS capabilities and workflows including STH, SFS, BOPIS, BORIS, 3PL, Drop Ship, International Orders etc.
- Strong understanding of inventory workflows and integrations in OMS to provide real-time availability metrics and publish these to channels like ecommerce, social commerce, POS channels, etc.
- Expertise in at least one cloud service (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), with AWS carrying weightage.
- Knowledge in cloud services such as API Gateways, Serverless Functions, and message brokers like EventBridge/Kafka/Kinesis.
- Experience with microservices frameworks, particularly Java Spring Boot.
- Good grasp of API concepts, technologies like REST, JSON, GraphQL, and Swagger.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and reactive programming.
- Experience integrating via APIs and third-party systems (specifically payment gateways, fraud checks).
- Strong knowledge of latest web technologies and CI/CD concepts.
- Good understanding of in-memory/distributed caching mechanisms like Spring/EhCache or Redis.
- Good retail domain knowledge.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and JIRA.
