Omnichannel Orchestration Lead (1291)
About the role
Axtria is seeking an Omnichannel Orchestration Lead to partner directly with the commercial organizations of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. This client-facing role centers on architecting the seamless integration of personal (field-based) and non-personal promotion (NPP) channels, with AI at the core of the solution. You will design intelligent, data-driven journeys where every touchpoint—from sales rep visits to email, web, programmatic media, and peer-to-peer engagement—is sequenced, timed, and personalized to maximize impact while ensuring full compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design and govern the end-to-end omnichannel orchestration strategy for clients, connecting field and NPP channels across multiple brands and therapeutic areas.
- Partner with client brand and sales leadership to define channel sequencing rules, trigger logic, and AI-powered next-best-action (NBA) frameworks that learn from engagement data while respecting HCP/patient preferences and channel fatigue thresholds.
- Serve as the trusted advisor and primary liaison across client marketing, sales operations, data/analytics, and technology teams, translating orchestration strategy into executable business rules and machine-learning models within CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Lead cross-functional governance forums to align client stakeholders on orchestration priorities, measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Define and monitor KPIs for orchestration effectiveness (e.g., channel mix, engagement lift, message frequency, user experience) and drive iterative, data-driven improvements.
- Ensure orchestration design complies with regulatory, legal, and privacy requirements governing pharmaceutical promotion.
- Act as the go-to subject matter expert on omnichannel best practices and emerging AI and martech capabilities, scouting new technology and bringing bold recommendations to client and Axtria leadership.
- Manage vendor, agency, and platform partnerships supporting orchestration execution.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, with direct experience in commercial, marketing, or sales operations roles.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience orchestrating both field and non-personal promotion channels.
- Genuine curiosity for AI, GenAI, and emerging martech, with a drive to apply new technology for clients.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Must be based in or able to work from the San Francisco/Bay Area under a hybrid work model.
- Experience with pharma CRM and marketing automation/orchestration platforms (e.g., Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AEM, Tealium) is expected; familiarity with AI-driven decisioning tools is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of the pharma regulatory and compliance environment.
Skills
- Omnichannel journey design & orchestration: Ability to architect end-to-end HCP/patient journeys across channels.
- Pharma field force operations knowledge: Deep familiarity with rep-triggered and personal promotion workflows.
- Non-personal promotion (NPP) channel management: Hands-on experience with email, web, and programmatic execution.
- CRM, marketing automation & AI decisioning platform expertise: Proficiency with Veeva CRM/Align, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tealium, and emerging AI/decisioning tools or comparable platforms.
- AI-powered next-best-action & trigger-based logic design: Building rules engines and machine-learning models that sequence channels intelligently.
- Cross-functional stakeholder management: Influencing brand, sales, medical, analytics, and IT teams without direct authority.
- Data-driven decision making & analytics fluency: Comfort defining KPIs, interpreting engagement data, and translating analytics into AI-enabled action.
- Regulatory & compliance acumen: Working knowledge of pharma MLR guidance and FDA promotional guidelines.
- Change management & governance facilitation: Leading forums that drive alignment across matrixed teams.
