OMH Childrens Overnight Respite Provider

About the role

The OMH Children's Overnight Respite Provider will offer short-term overnight care in your home for children who need a temporary, safe and nurturing environment outside their primary residence. This is a flexible, on-call position and an important support service for families in our community in need of respite.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, overnight care for a child in your home.
• Communicate with agency staff and attend required check-ins.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a private, furnished bedroom available exclusively for respite use.
• Must pass a fingerprinting and criminal background check.
• Home must meet health, safety, and accessibility standards.
• Complete all OMH-required training prior to providing care.
• Previous experience working with children or in human services is a plus.

Follow all OMH guidelines and protocols for respite care.

Shift and Salary

• Per-Diem position, when needed.
• $18.20 hourly.
