Omaha, NE - Alarm Installer (NC)
About the role
This opportunity based out of Lenexa, KS but will cover KCMO as well. Vehicle reimbursement + commission based on equipment sales.
Qualifications
People who come from a background or education where they have worked with their hands and are mechanically sound provided customer service, and worked outside typically work out much better than people with an office background.
Day-to-day Duties
- Receive training on and be doing the following: Installation and programming of Burglar Alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers.
- Installing window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors.
- Troubleshooting signal issues to ensure the alarm functions properly if needed.
- Perform daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level and some smaller customer care levels.
- Train customers on the use of the equipment and how to connect to the devices and answer all questions including ensuring that they have no additional need (equipment, etc.).
- Completing necessary customer paperwork for each job.
- Maintain accuracy of truck inventory of ADT products.
- Provide top-quality customer service.
- Achieve 90% Goal Attainment for completed installations and zero “go-backs”.

Tools Needed/PPE
- 6-foot ladder (they can get a Little Giant that folds up if they drive a sedan)
- Screwdrivers but preferably an electric drill
- Wire cutters
- Hand sheetrock saw
FAQ
- What radius are they traveling to? They are going to try and keep them within a 60-90 min radius.
- Is there mileage etc.? ADT only reimburses for mileage on the rare occasion that they must go over 40 miles from one location to another. Once out of training, they will be able to reimburse $100 per week for gas (Submit receipts).

- Is there weekend work? Yes, the schedule can vary from Mon-Fri or Tue - Sat.
- How long is training? Depends on how quickly the person picks up on the skill and when they get their license. Typically, it's around 3-5 weeks depending on the individual.
- Do they get to expense a ladder/tools? They do NOT get to expense the equipment/they have to provide their own ladder and tools and a foldable ladder is highly suggested because they fit in a smaller car. They do not have to have their tools on day one.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
