Alarm Installer (KC)

This opportunity is based out of Springfield, MO. The majority of the work will be done within a 60-90 mile radius, including Branson. Gas reimbursement and commission are offered.

About the role

We are looking for individuals with a background in skilled trades who are mechanically inclined and have a customer service mindset. Previous field experience—such as cabling, wiring, residential installations, or working for Best Buy Geek Squad—is a plus. You will be trained on ADT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and program burglar alarms, CCTV (IP & analog), DVRs, and access control systems for residential customers.
• Convert older systems to new systems.
• Work with window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors.
• Troubleshoot signal issues to ensure alarms function properly.
• Perform hands-on field interactions with customers at job sites and provide minor customer care.
• Test and verify signals for equipment.
• Train customers on using equipment, connecting devices, and answer all questions to ensure no additional needs are left unmet.
• Complete necessary customer paperwork for each job.
• Cost all parts used for each job before closing it out.
• Maintain accurate truck inventory of ADT products.
• Provide top-quality customer service.
• Achieve 90% goal attainment for completed installations with zero “go-backs.”

Requirements

• Experience with cable, Cat5, Cat6, wiring, hand tools, electrical wiring, and low-voltage systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and customer service orientation.
• Familiarity with CCTV, electronics, or electrical systems is a plus.
• Great communication skills, reliability, and an adaptive personality.
• Stellar interpersonal skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Ability to read nonverbal cues from residents and maintain a solution-oriented, customer-centric attitude.
• Ability to instill confidence in customers that their issues will be resolved.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
