About the role
The Actuarial Practice of Oliver Wyman advises clients on a broad spectrum of risk management issues. Our actuaries hold the highest professional qualifications and use mathematical, statistical, and qualitative methodologies to help clients evaluate and address risk. This role supports up to 3 Partners in the Raleigh, North Carolina office, with a mix of remote work and periodic in-office attendance for meetings, trainings, and team activities.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Build relationships with clients and their executive assistants.
- Understand and proactively advance the business goals of each supported Partner.
- Maintain and update contact lists and business activities in CRM database.
- Track and maintain sales activity and pipeline for each Partner.
- Proactively identify clients needing follow-up and execute outreach.
- Assist with client mailings and coordinate customized mailings with the Marketing Department.
- Prepare letters, proposals, and documents using Oliver Wyman formatting styles.
- Calendaring
- Maintain Partner diaries, scheduling internal and external meetings.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add internal and external meetings, interviews, and follow-ups.
- Assist with scheduling for complex projects as requested.
- Travel Arrangement
- Coordinate travel and accommodation, including booking cars and rail tickets.
- Understand Partner scheduling and travel preferences.
- Optimize travel efficiency by grouping client meetings where possible.
- Daily Administration
- Work with Human Capital to obtain work permits and visas.
- Manage documents and project deliverables as requested.
- Notify staffing and Practice EAs of contract extensions or renegotiations.
- Manage storage or disposal of confidential client information.
- Act as the central point of contact for all administrative needs of assigned Partners.
- Timesheet and Expense Reporting
- Prepare weekly timesheets for each assigned Partner.
- Prepare or delegate expense reports as necessary.
- Team Support
- Provide coverage for EAs who are out of the office to ensure seamless support.
- Offer short-term coverage for Partners during EA transitions or new assignments.
- Train and support new EAs.
- Participate in team meetings and projects to improve processes and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role.
- Experience in financial services, management consultancy, or a professional services environment is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Expert knowledge of Outlook.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
