About The Role
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day classroom activities, using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD to guide instruction and support each child’s development.
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
- Lead daily classroom activities, including small group lessons and individualized support
- Provide active supervision at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Observe and assess children’s progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD
- Create and maintain an engaging classroom environment that support hands-on learning
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the Wonderspring team
- Support and guide assistant teachers to keep the classroom running smoothly
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of classroom experience in a preschool setting
- Ability to work well as part of a team and be flexible as needed
- Comfortable leading a classroom and supporting other teachers
- Maintain professional and manage confidential information with care
- Basic understanding of Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements
- Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment
