Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough title examinations for oil and gas properties, including analysis of deeds, leases, probate documents, and other relevant documents
• Prepare title opinions and curative documents based on findings from title examinations
• Perform due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures, including review of purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and other transaction documents
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on issues related to oil and gas title, including leasehold and royalty interests, pooling and unitization, and title defects

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in TX
• 3+ years of oil & gas title opinion experience
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and identify potential issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and team members
• Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful outcomes
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

$150,000 - $200,000 per year
