Oil and Propane Delivery Dispatcher

About the role

The Delivery Dispatch Assistant supports the company's logistics and transportation department. The role involves providing administrative support and helping to maintain smooth operations within the dispatching process.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the pulling of delivery tickets, schedules and monitors as per established schedule
• Assists with building daily routes for fuel oil, propane, kerosene, and diesel
• Assists with building outside tank routes, snow stops, and difficult delivery routes when necessary
• Assists with optimizing all routes and dispatch to driver tablets
• Assists with the tracking/reporting of customer runouts
• Assists with the updating of the will call to automatic spreadsheet daily
• Adds new monitor information into the appropriate portal
• Calling customers "call-ahead" to customers who need to be notified prior to sending a driver
• Monitors incoming customers' orders from Customer Success Team
• Monitors all low tank alerts from Tank Utility and Service Insight

Requirements

• One year of related experience in oil/fuel delivery
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of delivery management software and GPS systems is ideal
• Strong understanding of local traffic regulations and delivery compliance
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic delivery situations
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent decision making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and handle time-sensitive situations
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment

Pay

$26.00 - $31.25 per hour. We pay for experience.

Schedule

7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Onsite in Danvers, MA.
