OHSU Neurologist at Hillsboro Medical Center
Department Overview
The OHSU Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time physician to join their team at Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC). HMC is a traditional community department located on the west side of Portland/Hillsboro with a growing population. It is a nationally recognized stroke center by the American Stroke Association and features a cardiac catheterization lab, offering comprehensive care to the surrounding region. Many OHSU Marquam Hill departments now provide specialty services on-site, blending academic and community services.
Function/Duties of Position
Clinical Responsibilities include 9 outpatient sessions per week for general neurology services at the Hillsboro Medical Clinic location. Distribution of EEG interpretations will depend on the candidate's strong experience.
Required Qualifications
- A current unlimited Oregon MD (or equivalent) license prior to start date.
- Board eligible or certified Neurologist.
- The provider must complete the credentialing process and be approved by the OHSU Professional Board to practice as an independent practitioner.
- The provider must be registered with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and authorized to prescribe medications prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law.
- Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Regular and consistent attendance at work.
