Pay

$18.41 - $19.33 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate classroom activities for preschool children in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through individual and group experiences.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with meal service, ensuring nutritional and sanitary standards are met.
• Collaborate with families to support children’s learning and development.
• Participate in home visits and parent-teacher conferences as required.
• Complete required documentation, including child observations, assessments, and progress reports.
• Adhere to program policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and early childhood development principles.
• Ability to pass required background checks, including criminal, driving record, and drug testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities associated with classroom duties.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
