Offshore Operations Manager

Client is a Fortune 150 global leader in the renewable-energy industry, specializing in utility-scale wind and solar development. This role offers experience in the growing U.S. offshore-wind sector with a globally recognized sustainable-energy company.

28/28 hitch (12-hour shifts)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate offshore activities with the Marine and Helicopter Coordination Centre.
• Arrange meetings and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to project procedures, processes, and IT tools.
• Support HSE when required.
• Operate the Offshore Management System and provide lessons learned/change requests.
• Participate in general lessons-learned sessions.
• Plan and coordinate construction, marine, and helicopter activities, including preparation of relevant documentation.
• Prepare and host the Daily Planning Meeting.
• Liaise with packages and contractors to minimize operational conflicts.
• Liaise with MHCC regarding execution of planned activities.
• Manage and allocate custody (time and space).
• Maintain daily dialogue with relevant contractors and masters to ensure compliance with site procedures and OMS.
• Ensure all vessel masters and helicopter pilots complete induction.
• Assist the construction manager with tasks as required.
• Chair or attend interface and kick-off meetings with contractors.
• Ensure personnel are approved within OMS.
• Assist in VCC checklist and issuing of VCC.
• Liaise with HSE team members on findings, investigations, and safety pushes.
• Provide input into lessons learned for future projects.
• Train new offshore-support staff.
• Train the O&M site-planning team.
• Track and control all cargo going offshore, including declarations to relevant authorities.

• CTV/Helicopter manifest for personnel tracking.
• SOMS training documents.
• Vessel/Helicopter performance reports.
• Daily coordination and execution plan.

Requirements

• GWO Certification (Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness).
• BOSIET/HUET (CA-EBS included).
• OGUK (Chester Step).

7-month contract with possibility of extension or conversion.
