OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING)
About the role
The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical support duties including but not limited to mail operations and carpool management. They will exercise a high degree of initiative and independence in performing assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage the District light vehicle fleet of approximately 20 vehicles.
- Act as the D2 Automotive Liaison.
- Provide backup coverage for the Executive Assistant and Cashier in their absence.
- Ensure proper maintenance and documentation for the vehicle fleet.
- Independently handle mail operations or clerical support tasks in a busy office environment.
- Solve challenging problems and demonstrate initiative.
Requirements
A valid California Driver's License is required when operating a state vehicle.
Qualifications
Experience and skills related to working with mail operations and carpool management, managing vehicle fleets or coordinating automotive services, ensuring proper maintenance and documentation for a fleet, independently handling mail operations or clerical support tasks in a busy office environment, and demonstrating initiative or solving challenging problems are required.
Skills
The ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section) is required. A valid typing certificate confirming this ability must be obtained prior to being hired.
