About the Role
The Office Technician (Typing) OT(T) provides all clerical support for the Regional Manager at the El Segundo Children’s Residential Regional Office, located in El Segundo, CA. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Type reports and correspondence.
- Answer and screen telephone calls.
- Gather information for statistics, logging, and tracking legal correspondence.
- Process highly confidential personnel transactions, maintain personnel files and attendance records, and complete attendance reports and employee benefits forms.
- Prepare office statistical reports, including monthly workload volume, personnel, and other monthly summary reports.
- Complete billing and record-keeping functions for the civil penalty system.
- Maintain knowledge of office equipment and order office supplies.
- Provide lead clerical support to a limited number of clerical staff as needed.
- Assist with workload demands within the office, using good judgment to evaluate situations and take effective action.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information accessed during the course of duties.
Requirements
- Ability to type at the minimum speed designated on the Class Specifications (a valid typing certificate confirming this ability is required prior to hire).
- Must clear a Background Investigation prior to being hired.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
- Must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) along with the application. The SOQ should be no longer than two pages, single-spaced, in 12-point font, and provide a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills qualify you for this position.
- If using education to meet minimum qualifications, unofficial transcripts must be included with the application. Official transcripts may be required at the time of hire.
- Subject to fingerprinting and criminal record clearance by the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Pay
$3,829.00 - $4,794.00 per month.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time position. Work location is in El Segundo, CA (in-office, no telework).
