OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING)
About the Role
The San Jose Children’s Residential Regional Office is recruiting for a permanent, part-time Office Technician (Typing) to provide clerical support for the Regional Manager and office operations.
Responsibilities
- Type reports, correspondence, and other documents.
- Answer and screen telephone calls.
- Gather information for statistics, logging, and tracking legal correspondence.
- Process confidential personnel transactions and maintain personnel files and attendance records.
- Complete attendance reports and employee benefits forms.
- Prepare office statistical reports, including monthly workload volume and personnel summaries.
- Handle billing and record-keeping for the civil penalty system.
- Order office supplies and maintain knowledge of office equipment.
- Provide lead clerical support to a limited number of clerical staff.
Requirements
- Ability to type at the minimum speed designated in the Class Specifications.
- Valid typing certificate confirming typing speed.
- Background investigation clearance.
- Submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with the application.
- Education verification (unofficial transcripts) if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
- Fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
