Office Support Specialist - School of Business (CS27-037) (Part Time)

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Office Support Specialist in the School of Business. Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records for the SIUE SBDC/ITC and granting agency (ILDCEO).
- Report matching funds to the granting agency along with grant expenditures on a Monthly Cash Request form and provide backup documentation.
- Prepare yearly budget for RFP/NOFO.
- Complete Purchase Requisitions, Invoice Vouchers, Travel Vouchers, and other Fiscal Delegate duties.
- Inform the School of Business of information needed for employee contracts, such as Budget Purpose Number and length of contract.
- Answer telephones, distribute mail, and handle walk-ins.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following:
- College coursework in any curriculum (30 semester hours equals one year/12 months).
- Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months).
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months).
- Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months).
- Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including the use of computer systems.
- One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this series.
Skills
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required.
- Ability to learn and understand Cashnet, AIS eforms, and AIS to print monthly Report of Transactions.
- Must become familiar with Pcard; this position is the Reconciler for 3 Pcard holders.
- Ability to multitask and pay attention to details.
- Strong math ability.
Schedule
15 hours per week.
Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state of Illinois ID Card.
