Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist Office of Community and Government Relations in strengthening partnerships with Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation and Easley Center.
- Help to plan and execute tailored communications vehicles, including social media, to communicate with constituents and partners in the Edgehill/Rose Park area.
- Do data entry as necessary.
- Meet with Metro Parks and Easley Center/Rose Park staff and develop relationships with Belmont's Edgehill neighborhood partners.
- May attend neighborhood meetings.
- May facilitate or work with Edgehill youth to produce communications designed to promote programs at Easley Center/Rose Park.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent grammar, spelling & punctuation.
- Knowledge of regulations governing publication of written material.
- Organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs used to write and edit various materials.
- Proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to write and speak clearly and effectively.
- Ability to establish relationships.
- Use of Social Media.
- Work on deadline.
- Confidentiality.
Required Education
- Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont.
Required Experience
- Paid or volunteer work on print or electronic newspaper, blogs, YouTubes, social media for high school, college, church, non-profit, etc.
