Avita Health System serves the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. Over the past few years, the organization has tripled in size, now employing over 2,300 team members and more than 200 physicians and advanced practitioners. Its mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to those who depend on it. Avita is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join its Walk‑In Clinic Department at the Bellville, Ontario and Shelby locations.
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of administrative and direct care services to promote patient comfort and customer satisfaction. Responsible for patient flow throughout the visitation process and performing required procedures and tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification (or obtainable within 30 days of hire); valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, STNA, EMT, or Paramedic.
