Office Manager

About the Role

An Office Manager will achieve a world-class Total Patient Experience that maximizes retail sales while supporting patients' medical needs. This role is responsible for the overall sales and profitability of an office location, managing operations, team member support, merchandising, inventory, training, and safety. The Office Manager will execute the Total Patient Experience (TPE) to drive revenue and profitability, exercising independent judgment in managing the retail operation. A Licensed Office Manager must possess a State Optician's License where required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute overall sales and profitability of the office location through effective Total Patient Experience (TPE) execution.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with associated doctors and serve as a liaison between doctors and the office team.
• Manage human resources: recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development of team members, including KPI scorecard coaching.
• Conduct performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the office team.
• Motivate team members by maintaining a positive attitude and communicating changes constructively.
• Maintain the facility to corporate standards, ensuring compliance with safety rules, HIPAA, OSHA, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal.
• Monitor and enforce company cash handling policies, including petty cash management, and submit financial documents accurately and on time.
• Execute day-to-day operations: team member scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and training.

Qualifications

• Management experience required.
• Industry-related experience beneficial.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.

Licenses and Credentials

• ABO and/or NCLE may be required.
• Optician license preferred.

Systems and Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

This role involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential for grasping, writing/typing, and using technology. Visual and auditory acuity, including color, depth, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment, is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-4pm (daily hours vary by location). Open availability required within these hours.
