About The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Office Manager to join our Ophthalmology and Optometry practice located in Schaumburg, Illinois. The ideal candidate will oversee daily office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative operations of the ophthalmology and optometry office.
- Supervise and support front office staff, including scheduling, patient check-in/out, and billing.
- Cook up with medical staff to optimize patient flow and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
- Oversee billing, insurance claims, and accounts receivable processes.
- Avoid non-compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies.
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance evaluations of office personnel.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records related to office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, preferably in an ophthalmology or optometry setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient with office management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or healthcare management are a plus.
