About the Role
The purpose of the Office Leader position is to efficiently and effectively manage a financially viable practice. The Office Leader ensures appropriate staffing, full schedules, successful financial presentation of treatment plans and payment options, and patient satisfaction and practice profitability. The Office Leader must clearly explain treatment options and associated costs, be knowledgeable about treatment and timelines, and discuss financial arrangements with patients. They coordinate with other offices involved in patient care, following through on referrals and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a positive, productive work environment and encouraging growth within the practice.
- Serve as the bridge between the doctor, patients, and the dental team, ensuring clear communication and a seamless experience from check-in to treatment.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, patient flow, inventory management, and office systems to ensure efficiency.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to meet revenue goals and financial targets, implementing strategies to improve financial outcomes.
- Work with leadership to forecast growth opportunities and implement strategies for expanding patient volume and enhancing the patient experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, overseeing HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years working in a dental practice, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
- Solid understanding of practice management, financial reporting, and business operations.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (Open Dental) and tools like Word and Excel.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and driving results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with patients, staff, and leadership.
- Familiarity with dental billing systems, insurance processes, and patient account management.
- Understanding of HR processes and legal compliance.
- Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience; continuing education in dental management is a plus.

Pay
$60,000–$75,000 annually plus bonus opportunities.
Schedule
- Monday–Tuesday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
