Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports all administrative actions of the Resident Engineer
- Office Engineer will be responsible for the documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals, and other project-related documentation
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines
- May oversee work of junior-level technicians
- Maintains Submittals and Request for Information (RFI) logs using software Tools for the project
- Maintains document control logs
- Affords assistance with the Processing of Contract Change Orders (CCO) and resolution of CCO requests
- Maintains construction scheduling by evaluation of contract schedule submittals, attends weekly construction field meetings, and prepares a construction status report on a monthly basis
- Processes Design Service Requests (DSR), survey requests, and material testing requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education required
- New York City Department of Environmental Protection project experience
- Ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Check required
- Experience in water/wastewater projects as Office Engineer preferred
- Experience with other water/wastewater-related project documentation such as documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals preferred
- EIT qualification preferred
