About the role

Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers promptly, professionally and cordially; requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Demonstrate knowledge of PACS system to assist with pulling priors and loading CDs with prior images from outside facilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of the radiology information system as related to Meditech and Penrad
- Answer telephone professionally and efficiently
- Consistently provide timely and accurate information to patients and physicians
- Schedule future appointments, collaborating with all members of the Breast Imaging team to navigate a patient through the Center to ensure timely diagnosis
- Place calls to patients and physicians as necessary; actively work with patients and physician's offices to facilitate appointments, orders, authorizations, etc.
- Support all administrative functions of the Breast Center
- Call patients for follow-up exams and obtain any prior images and/or information
Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience required; experience in mammography is preferred
- Requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as an understanding of medical/clinical terminology and Breast Imaging
