Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers promptly, professionally and cordially; requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PACS system to assist with pulling priors and loading CDs with prior images from outside facilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the radiology information system as related to Meditech and Penrad
  • Answer telephone professionally and efficiently
  • Consistently provide timely and accurate information to patients and physicians
  • Schedule future appointments, collaborating with all members of the Breast Imaging team to navigate a patient through the Center to ensure timely diagnosis
  • Place calls to patients and physicians as necessary; actively work with patients and physician's offices to facilitate appointments, orders, authorizations, etc.
  • Support all administrative functions of the Breast Center
  • Call patients for follow-up exams and obtain any prior images and/or information

Qualifications

  • Previous medical office experience required; experience in mammography is preferred
  • Requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as an understanding of medical/clinical terminology and Breast Imaging
