Position Responsibilities
- Maintains daily input of charges, payments, and bank deposits.
- Ensures timely resolution of billing system issues.
- Monitors Practice Management reports and completes finance logs and billing reports.
- Communicates and resolves VMG/IDX billing issues.
- Supports physicians by typing correspondence, memos, and maintaining schedules.
- Maintains practice PTO calendar, physician master schedules, and staff work schedules.
- Acts as a liaison between physician and patient, obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations.
- Manages vendor relationships to ensure practice appearance, functionality, and safety.
- Conversant with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
- Supports budget creation, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Orders and maintains office supplies.
- Assists with BPR preparation for support staff.
Position Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical office experience required.
- 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable in ICD-9 CPT coding, Medicare regulations, state regulations, JCAHO, CLIA, DOH, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- 4-year college degree a plus.
