About the role
We are seeking a reliable and ambitious Assistant Property Manager to join our team. This role involves supporting the Property Manager with leasing, collections, resident services, and maintenance oversight, ensuring the property maintains high standards and providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Address delinquent accounts and initiate the eviction process, filing necessary documents and attending court hearings if required.
- Absentee support and assistance with managerial duties as directed.
- Create monthly reports covering renewals, rents, leasing, resident retention, and maintenance.
- Train and coach office staff as directed by the Property Manager.
- Attend staff meetings and take minutes when necessary.
- Process vendor invoices and handle vendor statements.
- Oversee lease and renewal processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Maintain renewal records and assist with marketing and follow-up for leasing.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state Fair Housing Laws, as well as company policies.
Qualifications
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Prior experience in property management or managerial experience in a sales/customer service role.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance may be required for traveling between properties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents and office staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage various tasks simultaneously.
