About the role
The Medical Office Assistant I position plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for both patients and staff at ChristianaCare's Dental department.
Responsibilities
- Handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments.
- Manages communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff.
- Updates patients, schedules tests and appointments, maintains medical records, resolves patient issues, supports administrative tasks, and follows safety protocols.
- Additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- A High School Graduate or GED is required.
- Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
