Office Assistant I

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain County right-of-ways by mowing vegetation with a farm tractor mounted boom mower under safe operating conditions.
• Mow vegetation along roadside right-of-ways.
• Transport equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on related equipment.

Education, Experience, Licensing

• Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment, including equipment maintenance and/or repair.
• Possession of a valid Florida Class B CDL with airbrakes and an acceptable driving record is required.
• Ability to pick up, push, pull or move a 40 pound object.

Supplemental Information

• Prefer Class A CDL.
• Work Hours and Days: Monday thru Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed.
