Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain County right-of-ways by mowing vegetation with a farm tractor mounted boom mower under safe operating conditions.
- Mow vegetation along roadside right-of-ways.
- Transport equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on related equipment.
Education, Experience, Licensing
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment, including equipment maintenance and/or repair.
- Possession of a valid Florida Class B CDL with airbrakes and an acceptable driving record is required.
- Ability to pick up, push, pull or move a 40 pound object.
Supplemental Information
- Prefer Class A CDL.
- Work Hours and Days: Monday thru Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed.
