Office Assistant Hospice
Job Summary
Performs basic routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
About the role
Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems. Essential Duties include:
- Performs basic routine clerical duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, scanning and ordering supplies.
- May prepare documents/records to scan into appropriate system, indexing for retrieval.
- Prepares forms and verifies information as appropriate.
- Performs special projects as assigned with specific direction which may include data entry into applicable system or basic research of records.
- Types and proofreads standard correspondence, reports and other documents as applicable by department.
- May compile and maintain records.
- Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information as applicable by department in a manner consistent with department standards.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- PREFERRED: 1 year of relevant experience, typing skills.
