About the role
The Office Assistant supports the Bismarck office of Fredrikson & Byron, a leading Midwest-based law firm. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining office efficiency and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Project a professional and friendly image by providing efficient, courteous service to clients and visitors.
- Open the office, prepare the reception area for the day, and assist with office closing procedures.
- Order, stock, and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Perform general office duties such as making deliveries, running errands, and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Provide general office administration support.
- Aid in computer equipment coordination and office moves.
- Offer administrative support to legal administrative assistants, paralegals, and attorneys as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with desktop technologies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A client-service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Schedule
The estimated starting pay range is $20–$25/hour. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
