This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with a schedule from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The initial assignment is a three-month contract, with potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Greet examinees and verify identification
- Perform required security checks, including the use of security wands
- Assist with troubleshooting devices for test takers
- Proactively perform tasks outside of peak testing periods
- Continuously monitor candidates through walkthroughs as they complete exams
- Report and resolve candidate issues with urgency
- Maintain a secure environment and materials in the test center at all times
- Ensure every candidate receives a fair and comfortable testing experience
- Report any occurrences outside company guidelines
- Safeguard the test center from misconduct
- Digitally scan and record candidate fingerprint identification, if applicable
- Maintain and apply expert knowledge of test center policies, practices, and procedures
- Represent Prometric’s vision, mission, and values
- Remain flexible with scheduling based on operational needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college experience is a plus
- Minimum of one year of in-person customer service experience (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, or reception)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based computer programs and applications (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, web browsing)
- Ability to multi-task, handle small tools, and manage equipment for shipping or installation
- Familiarity with receptionist duties, document scanning, inbound call handling, and clerical support is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while administering exams
- Ability to physically move through the test room every 8–10 minutes and escort candidates to and from the testing room
- Visual acuity to adjust or focus on computer screens and monitor testing rooms via camera
- Ability to maneuver safely in tight spaces while maintaining computers in the lab and office
Schedule
Approximately 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
