Established in 1925, we pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class service and a premium protein portfolio. As a USDA-inspected processing facility, we specialize in center-of-the-plate and portion-controlled products for Florida's premier hotels, restaurants, country clubs, and Caribbean customers. In January 2025, we moved into our new 48,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art processing facility, tripling our production and storage capacity while continuing our commitment to exceptional quality and customer service.

The Office Assistant is the face of Bush Brothers and plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the business. This position provides administrative support across multiple departments, including Human Resources, Accounting, Kitchen Operations, and Office Administration while creating a welcoming experience for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, adaptable, and enjoys helping others while keeping the office running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, customers, vendors, and applicants in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
- Receive deliveries and distribute mail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office.
- Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and record management.
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate equipment and vendor needs.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference rooms.
- Assist in planning employee appreciation events, meetings, and celebrations.
- Support company training sessions and internal events.
- Help improve office organization, procedures, and administrative processes.
- Provide administrative assistance to multiple departments as business needs evolve.
- Assist with recruitment and new hire paperwork and onboarding preparation.
- Support employee recognition programs, birthdays, anniversaries, and company events.
- Support accounting with administrative tasks as needed.
- Help coordinate employee breakfast and lunch programs.
- Assist with menu planning, surveys, food deliveries, and kitchen communications.
- Monitor breakroom and kitchen supplies.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible based on business needs).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or coursework in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in office administration, business administration, customer service, or a related administrative role.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
