Off-site Maintenance Carpenter
About the role
Performs work as assigned by Off-site Maintenance Foreman.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years of experience in commercial construction or related fields preferred
- Must be competent in at least three of the seven areas listed on the Construction Competency Sheet or have at least one of the following:
- Journeyman Electricians License or greater
- Journeyman Plumbers License or greater
- N.A.T.E. – HVAC installation Technician Certification
- Must have the skills and abilities to perform construction work in a healthcare facility
Driver's License and Insurance Requirements
This position requires driving a hospital-owned vehicle and/or a personally owned vehicle to perform the essential job duties. In order to be considered, the candidate must have a valid and current state issued driver's license and must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at his/her own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence.
Clearance of driving record check; Driving records shall not contain any of the following:
- A suspended or revoked driver's license
- 3 or more moving violations in the past 36 months
- 2 or more accidents in the past 36 months
- 1 or more instances of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) within the past 24 months
- At fault in a fatal accident within the past 5 years
- Leaving the scene of an accident within the past 36 months
- Reckless driving within the past 12 months
Physical Demands
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 100 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

- Frequently (34%-66%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching
