Maintenance Carpenters

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are looking for motivated Maintenance Carpenters to join our team in Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week). This is a temp or temp-to-hire position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings for damage and repair structures such as walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and floors.
• Fabricate, repair, and install cabinets, shelves, countertops, and finished trim.
• Maintain structural components to prevent deterioration.
• Install doors and pre-hang wood/steel.
• Repair siding, decks, fences, and outdoor structures.
• Coordinate with other trades (plumbers, electricians) and manage subcontractors.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in rough and finish carpentry.
• Proficiency with power tools (saws, routers, grinders).
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of building, health, and safety codes.
• Proficiency in drywall installation and painting.
• Ability to use computer-based systems for work orders.
