OEM Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate the technical requirements of new utility and energy-market programs to automotive partners, and work closely with our Head of Engineering and Head of Product to help automakers meet those requirements and successfully on-board to the ChargeScape platform.
- Work closely with ChargeScape’s team of utility program managers to ensure an automaker's timely and successful launch into new smart-charging programs.
- Collaborate with each automaker’s marketing team to develop and launch creative, multi-channel campaigns to drive continuous EV driver enrollment, and support customer marketing and communications readiness across partners.
- Track customer enrollment metrics and progress against program goals, surfacing data-driven insights to internal and partner stakeholders.
- Collaborate with each automaker’s technical team to influence product roadmaps and facilitate the rollout of new OEM features and capabilities into ChargeScape programs.
- Ongoing Program Support: Support ad-hoc issues throughout the life of a program, which often spans multiple years, and help build out ChargeScape's EV driver support function to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous startup experience is a nonnegotiable requirement.
- Previous experience working for an EV automaker and familiarity with OEM organizations, processes, and decision-making considerations is a plus; prior exposure to energy/utilities is also valuable.
- Direct experience in vehicle-grid integration (VGI) and/or EV charging.
- Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail, including the ability to oversee complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, internally and with external partners.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to track and report on program performance.
- Strong technical aptitude, with some ability to automate manual processes using scripts and/or AI workflows.
- A growth mindset: calm under pressure, with a demonstrated willingness to step up and take on more as the role evolves.
Compensation
Total Compensation: Total cash compensation range of $150,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the role
The OEM Operations Manager will report to ChargeScape’s VP of Partnerships and will serve as the day-to-day point of contact for our automotive partners, working closely with them to ensure successful on-boarding to the ChargeScape platform, to get set up into new utility smart-charging programs as they are launched, and to continue enrolling EV drivers through ongoing marketing and technical efforts. This role is truly cross-functional, working with our commercial, product, engineering and finance teams to ensure an excellent experience for our automotive partners and their customers.
