About the role
The OTF Thin Films Module Engineer at Intel is responsible for developing and sustaining robust manufacturable process modules within the Ocotillo Technology Fabrication team. This role involves managing 300mm toolsets, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and achieving high tool availability and low defect densities. The engineer will also drive continuous improvement initiatives and support new technology start-ups. Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to meet factory goals and enhance manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a PhD degree with 6+ months of experience in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or related engineering STEM field.
- 2+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or advanced technology development environment.
- Experience conducting process characterization, data analysis, and statistical problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of equipment matching, qualification, maintenance optimization, and copy-exact manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals, and milestones for new technology processes.
- Establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.
- Select and develop materials and equipment to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability requirements.
- Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
- Drive improvements on quality, yield, reliability, process stability/capability, productivity, and safety/ergonomics.
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
- Establish process control systems for the process module and sustain it through volume ramp.
- Train production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories.
- Transfer processes to high volume manufacturing and provide support in new factory start-up as well as install and qualification of new production lines.
Pay
$103,730 - $198,820 per year
